Tried to make a pistol, but I think I may have left the barrel a bit too wide, what do you think?

yes.
If you have played Fallout 2, (maybe 1? Il liked the first better), they featured a gun that had a massive barrel. It had a good punch to it too. Depends on what you are going for.
The 14mm pistol. (12-22 damage)
But more likely the .223 Pistol. (20-30 damage)
These are pixel weapons too
