Pinhead problems?

Hi guys. It’s my first time writing in here and i’m fairly new to 3D and Blender (a few weeks). I’ve been working on the bowling pin recently and found that after i’d finished the 360 spin that the very tip of the head wasn’t quite looking right. Any ideas? I’m guessing that the handles on my bezier curve might not have been a perfect 90 degrees to the edge before going on to do the spin. Any thoughts? Cheers, J

Yea I was right. I went back to check the problem. My top bezier curve handle wasn’t exactly at 0 on the x-axis so it was messing with the shape. Looks alot better now. Solved! :sunglasses:

My final coloured Pin (psychedelic seemed like the best option)

Nice shape. Set the shading to smooth and it’ll look really nice.

Nice bit of smoothing added to the Bowling Pin… good advice, makes a huge difference to the final piece!

… and the collider…! Also, I’m curious as to it’s use in other applications apart from Unity?

I only know the importance of it in Unity, but I’ve never dabbled in Unreal so couldn’t really comment.
Just a quick note about your collision mesh, make sure the bottom is dead flat. Otherwise, the moment you add physics to it, it’ll topple over (learnt that from experience…).

Will do Gary, Cheers for the tip!

And time.
