Pawn Render Problem

Hi,

I appended the base into a new project file and then modeled the rest of the piece. I then used the subdivision surface modifier. It looks fine on the viewport but there’s a weird artifact when I render. What could that be?

Is there possibly some other geometry object that you hid in the viewport view? That was not hidden to the camera.

Please give full screenshots with any questions. With the relevant panels open.
Also include the lecture time that is relevant to the problem/issue.
This can be done by Blender itself, via the ‘Window’ menu bar top left hand side. On that menu drop down is ‘save screenshot’.
Close ups where they help.

Thank you so much for replying! You’re right. I disabled the reference in the viewport but not in the render. Now I know to keep that in mind. Thanks!

these spots on the rim are located at the position of the vertices.
Maybe double vertices… becaus you reused the bade and maybe extruded too close.

Check with the merge by distance option !
