Here my pawn piece with minor design changes, I snapped the sphere to the body of the pawn piece by selecting face, will that cause any problems?

Nice one! Hey may i ask what how you made the theme layout of your blender application so eye catching? could you maybe screenshot the theme menu to show me? the default is okay and all but the grey and white mess with my orientation of view. Yours looks really sharp and i can focus a lot more. Thanks if you decide to help in advance!

Sure, Go to File > User Preferences (Shortcut: CTRL+ALT+U on windows) > Themes. Once there click the preset drop down menu and select the theme you feel comfortable with. My current theme is Science Lab.
