Trolls Underpants Problematic…
Not sure if this face with too many Verts is going to give problems later ?
I see if one chooses 2 verts and press f it fills in a side … but it is not connected to face ?

It doesent seem to have bothered the remeshing so I guess its good to go …
but still wondering how one attaches added side properly to an object for future ? (2nd picture )

Yes remesh will tend to sort out such faces.

If you select 4 verts or 2 edges it will create a face. In your octagon face you can select the 2 center vertices and press Ctrl+j and it will cut thru the face. If you press F it will just create an edge on top of the face, but the face will still be an n-gon(octagon in this case).
