My small library

Here are some things I’m working on. Rendered at low samples since they’re not really completed:

Dunno if I’ll return to any of them to fix them up as I get better.

Hi, nice work en ideas!

it looks like a dice is missing a shadow? And if the dices are in motion (flying through the air), maybe some blur would emphasize movement.

I felt like something was missing from that image. Thanks for the tips!

The dice are one piece related aren’t they  ( I clicked on it after only to see that you had named it as such lol) Love the work

These are great! I’ve been trying to get inspired to create my own library as well, but I just don’t know where to start. It’s easy enough to follow through the tutorials, but creating your own designs can be difficult.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

Also grumpyrogue, I completely agree that working with a blank canvas is difficult. Even trying to plan out scenes before getting to work can be tough . I find that using art prompt generators help a lot in terms of getting started. It has a variety of prompts from objects to environments and in my opinion, a great starter.
Here’s a link to my personal favorite http://artprompts.org/ if you would like to try one yourself.

Reviving this dead topic for some quick update pieces.

A bit boring scene wise, but well worth the time if only to get better at using the composite function.

I really like that island. It makes me immediately think of Super Mario Sunshine. Great work!

Hey hey, thanks @brandonschmeidler. I was aiming for a similar style so I’m happy I was able pulled it off

You definitely nailed it! My only criticism would be that the water material could use a little work. It looks a little bit flat. I feel like there should be more reflection.

High! You have some really nice concepts here! To be honest things will come and go in your scene as you continue modeling and refining your art. But, If i may say the very top example piece with the dice, the lighting on the surface of the coins, looks a bit high, could be a material thing, or just the light settings them selves never the less, you are losing a lot of detail, that may not be intended, on and around the coins. All and all though great work!
