Hi all here’s my modular tank. I chose my laser tank and made a little animation!!!
I love it! You manage to make it look aggressive, even while you used similar “cartoonish” style for the base that Grant was showing.
I would add more emission, but that’s personal preference (yeah, I tend to overdo emission ).
Good work I like the spot lit podium lighting.
Thank you very much. I maxed the emission but I think the lights kinda obscured it.
Light shouldn’t obscure emissive parts (as emission is also light). Things that come to my mind to check:
- emission value (1.0 is not max, I sometimes go above 100); in 2.91 I think you can use it in normal shader, in earlier versions I think you had to use emissive shader to set the value.
- if using Eevee - turning on bloom in render settings
- if using Cycles - add glare node (fog glow) to the compositor

So I followed your suggestion and it worked perfectly…I come up with this little “animation”, which is not properly an animation 'cause everything is still
