I’m making my chess set using my real life chess set for reference
I’ve just gotten to textures and tried to take a photo from the real life chessboard and try to make it into textures, which proved to be a challenge, especially since I was just using my phone’s camera. But my outcome came out alright: Other than the black pieces, all the textures were pictures of my chess board.

Aww, I was kind of hoping it would be some sort of retro’ish designed chess set. It looks realistic, Well done!

Was an interesting experience recreating this chess set. Happy with how it finally turned out despite some minor issues, high poly is a bit rough to work with but I think I did alright with it. I plan on making another chess set in the future and making it with the intention of 3D printing it which should be quite fun. Anyways that’s all for this project!

You need high poly for printing anyway.
What about the nice carved details in the real base?
