here’s my Chess Scene. First the opening formation and the second one is a possible check mate situation after only 4 moves from the opening.

Those wooden texture look awesome 
As has been said the wood textures on the pieces look good.
I do feel personally if I were making that board for real, the wood grain would go along each length not across it. Little UV 90d tweak.
