Your horizontal loops are uneven vertically.
I was wondering about that, is there a way to automatically space them, or should I adjust/delete manually?
There are Blender tool or procedurs to smoothen vertices etc.
But the pin is more or less a low poly object. So less loops would be nice to have.
Keeps th ones who define/keep the pin shape.
The rest will be filled in by the subsurface modifier.
But for this challenge and the tasks up ahead, the current mesh is no problem at all.
I would say, continue. Just see it as an optimization task for a game environment.
Just have fun.
There are none. Just efficiency … less loops/vertices less fiddling …
But it all depends how this object/model is used!
