This lesson will keep you up all night, trying to perfect. Found changing lighting likes to ruin, the perfect image you attempt to create. Moving lamp doesn’t seem to be a option, at least for me.
The lamp shade left me struggling, trying to match the fade of everything else.

Are you using Eevee?
Eevee handles light, transparency and shadows differently.
You can increase the LAMP SIZE, of your main lamp (outside the view, which creates the shadow) to make softer shadows. and maybe turn off reflection (and increase roughness) of your floor wall texture, to avoid the ‘white’ beam.
