Messing with hair particle system

I thought of trying something new: animals. Naturally, animals tend to have hair so this was a good opportunity to play with the hair particle system a bit more than previously. Not sure if I’ve done a great job, but I think that for a first go at doing animals, it’s pretty acceptable.

This is supposed to be a dog, but it looks a bit like a bear I guess… What do you guys think? (and yes, I know it doesn’t have eyes, or a nose, or a mouth, etc)
Also, the shape is done without reference for several reasons: 1. I wanted to experiment 2. I thought it might be quicker 3. I was too lazy to search up good reference images :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Honestly I thought at first it was a goat, - ears look very much like horns, and feet - like hoofs… May be you’ll add some hair there, and that impression will change )

:joy: I hadn’t thought of a goat, but sure why not. It’s true that those ears don’t look much like ears at all. I guess it’s pretty obvious this was a pretty quick and low poly mesh-building. There’s so many animals this thing could be, I might just keep it separately to have a base for creating countless creatures from it, who knows!

Bother wrong again.

I’m starting to see the beaver actually… :hushed:
This could be anything… maybe I just made the primal animal that created all of them :joy: It’s more of a piece of art than I first realised, lol
