So, I started out a bit confused as to what to do and did have to watch about 10 seconds of solution. Really daft of me not to think of extruding… Anyway, it was a fairly simple solution. First I started with a box. I then took the box and resized it (scaled) to 10x10. Then I inset it by 1 and started having trouble. I thought I could extrude it by using the inset options, but I couldn’t, so I started watching the solution (only to find that he did the exact same thing that I did). I then paused the video and went about repeating the process of insetting and extruding until I got it to the number of steps I wanted. At 8 steps I stopped and did the inset and extrude once again, but this time with the intention of creating the top of the pyramid. So, first thing I did was inset by 1 but for extruding I went from 1 to 3, giving it an obvious top.
I wanted to go one step further and add entry-ways, but after spending about 10 minutes just staring at the model and unsure how to begin (even trying a few failed things) I finally gave up and figured I would learn how to do internal 3D modelling later. It’s probably not that hard, but my mind didn’t want to work.
