I just completed the Mayan pyramid and imported it into the Second Life virtual world grid. I’ve included a photo showing the xyz axis there. The upload was the minimum price, and since the pyramid was quite small inworld, I resized it and put the two side by side. I did not use array to create more than one pyramid. Although I did test it out to create more than one at an earlier point.
The above shows the axis system in Second Life.
The bottom of the pyramid was closed and I didn’t see any problems with normals.
The pyramid on the right is the original size. I resized a copy to get the one on the left.
There were a few glitches along the way, though importing to the grid was the easy part. I like to do tutorials several times so I’ll probably do this pyramid again at some point and see if the same glitches come up, or whether I don’t make those mistakes again. The end of the tutorial provided some useful information on one of the problems I had, but I found that going back and doing things again sorted out everything.
