Guys I’m still a newbie but I’m trying to learn Blender as fast as I can and in this topic I will post all my “babies” made with Blender!
Please critic and give me suggestion for improve cause for now it’s just an hobby but who knows, maybe in future it could be a little more than a regular hobby

I’m trying to make a easy house and this is what I made in an hour ish

Now I’ve to make all the windows and all the others essential stuff for an house

What do you think? Should I spend more time with it or throw it out and start with something different?

It’s looking pretty good so far! I recommend giving the windows and some other details a go before moving on to something new–unless of course you’re bored with this model.

I added two windows in the first floor, now I’d like to made two little windows on the second floor too!
Which kind of other details are you suggesting?

This is how it’s right now

Uumm…why would you want to throw it out? I often go back to look at my older models, knowing they won’t be as up-to-date as what skills I have now, and view those models to see what I did wrong and ponder how I can make it better with what I have learned. Sometimes, I will even create a new model of the same thing so I can improve it. Also, going back really will gives you a sense of how much you have improved as you advance in the course. LOL I don’t know about everyone else but, my world view has changed because now I see everything as planes, cubes, cylinders, etc, which in turn, helps me create more realistically.

If it were me, I would save it at least for awhile for a before/after reference to yourself. Also, when you get to the texturing/materials portion of the course, you can use it to play around with texturing what you have created.

P.S. The only thing that bugs me are the columns. I think the elongated center cylindrical area needs to either be a bit thicker or should have a bit more detail like the example below I found on Pinterest. Are tons of references out there on the web you can use to make the columns. BUT…BIG BUT …from someone with experience making these type columns…be really careful about what detail you add since it will add a lot of geometry to your final scene. It may not seem like it at first, but you keep adding columns and before you know Blender gets really laggy. Been there done that! LOL

Thank you so much dude! Usually in the weekend I’m very busy, but from Monday I will continue to follow the course on Udemy and after some more lessons I will try to edit a little more and I will post it here again

This Dudette (yes, I am a woman:-) ), says you are most welcome!

The wonderful thing about Blender and the course, you can devote as much or as little time as you want. Have a great and hopefully not too busy weekend!

I make the gender mistake myself quite often!

So do I on a number of the 3D forums I hang out on, because so many members have Avatars that don’t depict their actual gender. That, and the fact most don’t use their R/L names, so even their Nick/Alias doesn’t give you a clue.

Agrees with you! Sadly, I don’t think as many women are into 3D modeling and/or game creation at this point in time, which adds to the confusion; thus, everyone seems to default to pronouns. :imp:

Oh there are a lot of women modeling and texturing in the 3D arena. Gaming, not so much, I have to agree with you on that one. I’m not really into creating games either, but I do like to try modeling items I’ve never done before, and texturing is something I did long before I ever tried modeling.

Lately, though, I’ve been doing more rendering than anything else, and was surprised when 2 of my most recent renders were among several that were picked for the Poser Staff Picks of the Week this week at a forum I’ve been a member for 17 years next month.

Guys I’m following the section 2 and in the Mayan pyramid I got some problems. I see weird shadows even if all the normals are ok…

If you don’t get them quickly I highlighted them for you in the next picture
