Lighting

I’m currently doing the toon tanks unreal course and as I started the lighting is all messed up. I’ve tried rebuilding it but still got the same result, what should I do?

Strange. Think I’m going to need to see that, would you mind sending me your project using the following link?

https://gdev.tv/projectupload

Please use File > Package Project > Zip Up Project within Unreal as this will ensure only required files are zipped up and things like the Binaries are excluded.

Ok, it’s been sent.

Ok so that isn’t an issue with the project then. Maybe it’s an issue with the compiled shaders. Do you have a DataDerivedCache folder? If so delete it, it should force Unreal to rebuild the shaders.

I’ve done that, but it was still the same. And after I open it up to check, then go back to toon tanks folder, I’d still see theDataDerivedCache folder reappear.

It’s supposed to. The hope was that when it was recreated that it would fix it.

Could you open the console command and try “recompileshaders all”, it can take a while so that’s normal.

I’m not sure which is it.

It’s not listed, just type what I did.

I’ve done it twice but it’s still the same.

Have you just started? Have you tried re-extracting the zip?
