Light Source Cycles Render - A Study

Nice little test of light sources using cycles render.
I used various mesh items and kept them as smooth lo polys. Really enjoyed watching the result of how the shadows and light work with the various shapes based on their positions relative to the light source.

In this example, I’ve placed two items in the foreground near the light source (one near the camera/one further), two items in the middle ground but also between the two light sources creating a very nice blend of shadows, and two items in the background at different positions to the light source (one nearer to the camera, one further)

Overall an interesting study of the results of objects relative to the light source, shadows, and position within the environment.

Here’s the same study from another extreme camera angle

Final rendering with a touch of bevel on the background and an additional extrude of zero to sharpen up the ground facing edge of the cone. Also liking the soft shadow at the back.
