Lesson 27 Mid-Section Challenge Part 2

I wanted to do part of the barn that was demonstrated in the course. I struggled with the camera, getting it the way I wanted, phew. Did anyone else struggle with the camera?

What did you mean by strugling?

‘Walk’-mode, “Fly”-mode? Using the keypad ‘0’ key, to look through the camera.
And then using
Shift ~ and using your mouse …

Lie so much in Blender, once you find out how to, as FedPete explains one gets used to how it does things.

I had to keep trying soo many times to get the angle and lighting right. Not sure what walk-mode or fly-mode are but I will look it up. After some time I figured out that I could move the camera using the arrow keys while still in camera mode, that’s how I was able to get it like done. :grinning:

I find the easiest way is to press zero on the number pad, for camera viewpoint, then on the right hand ‘N’ tool shelf, the ‘view’ tab check the ‘lock camera to view’. Then you can move the view about just as any 3d modeling view until its the way you want. THEN uncheck that lock to view or its all too easy to forget and move it accidentally.

Fly mode (while in camera view) View > Navigation > Walk / Fly Navigation
Or Shift+` The wasd keys move you like in a game, cursor look about, click to exit when you have the line up you want.
