Lecture 11 Spike traps

The making of some spike traps. It was the first thing I could think of with the instructions given that wasn’t a castle.

I ran through a few obstacles that I’d rather not repeat in the future, so I’m writing them down - maybe you can find them useful too:

  • Keep your work to the grid as you are modelling your stuff, you can change the position and do some fancy composition later.
  • Use round numbers for the dimensions of each part, or copy and leave them on the side, you might need them later. (This is specially if you join some parts together and then you want to repeat some parts, but also to keep them loyal to the grid -> rotation might become a huge pain if it’s not.)
  • Use shortcuts, get used to them. Huge time saver, even if you are clumsy at first like me.

Btw, It would be great to have some colour to differentiate each part - hope we’ll be taught how to soon.
Cheers!
