Hey guys,
I’m planning for a small learning project spanning from early September to early-late October.
The Main Goal is to understand Game architecture (Gamestates, etc.) ! And strengthen knowledge of Object-oriented Programming [OOP] (classes, methods,…)
The Plan is for multiple people to build the same game independently and compare the approaches and result.
It’s meant for those, who already know a little OOP, but aren’t confident enough to join a bigger project/team yet.
For example anyone who just finished the Bull&Cow Game from the C+±course, and doesn’t want to jump straight to Unreal.
We are going to build a small game, either a RTS like AoE (in a very small scale), or a 2D game like Mario Bros (one or 2 levels).
I’m not planning to use Unity or Unreal, but C++ with SFML or Python with PyGame, Java…
