Just thought I would post my end result as advised in the lecture. Thanks for all of the information so far, the class seems very well set up! I did have to reference a default blender screen as I didn’t really know what went where just yet, but now I have a better understanding of the interface. I renamed it to LayoutMess just for fun, ignore that if it bothers you! Thanks for reading.

Thought I would add my attempt here to avoid spamming more threads for this challenge 
Overall not too bad, though I did have to remember to set up the info toolbar before the properties & outliner views, otherwise it would not have spanned the entire window (…but, I guess you could set it up that way anyway if you like it more).

Yeah I just saw that. sigh
To be fair, I thought the challenge was to make it yourself, not press the “default layout” button, eg. if you messed up your default layout. Oh well, guess I know how to manipulate the interface now

That’s the way I see it. I did accidentally delete the Default layout later on so it was helpful indeed.
