Getting non-perfectly parallel hinges rigged is 99% of the challenge and took me forever… springs were the easy part… you just use stretchy 1-chain IK bones… did a post on it here:
Making the springs is easy with the screw Modifier.
@Jaco_Pretorius goes even better though with working ones. lol.
Key to note is moving the mesh relative to the origin point. Rest is eay to play with, axis etc.
