For the next 30 days I will keep my newly downloaded copy of Mozilla Firefox free of all the distractions and clutter spread over my Google Chrome interface and Bookmark Bar. My time spent with Firefox will be dedicated to my work-related research and tasks.

Right. To add on to that minimum, when working I will try not to have any other programs running that would compete for my attention. I will not open my Google Chrome browser until after I have closed Firefox and I will not open Firefox until I have closed Google Chrome. That should help keep me focused and provide more of a division between work and play modes.
