I learned about the community now and took the steps to join it so I might as well show the result of the course’s first part. I took creative liberty with the island and added some boats I made and managed to redesign afterward (picture included). What do you guys think?

I just would try to find out a way to illuminate the boats a bit less in the island image because it is not clear where the light would come from, but it looks very well and the water in the second one looks very natural.

Thanks for the kind words, Megane. I see where you are coming from, I could have taken more time with the lighting and tinkered with it. Soon, I will come back to the project and add what I learned in the meantime. I got the old boats hidden so I can always compare how much I improved my skills from the last update. I appreciate your comment.

The enhancement of the ships in second picture is astonishing! love the details like stairs, small crates and of course the image on the sails. Last posts are from really talented people

Thanks a lot, I appreciate your kind words a lot. But I can’t take all the credit because if it wasn’t for Grant Abbit’s course I would never be able to learn so much and improve so fast. I realized how important is the teacher in the learning process.
