How can I get smooth transitions between sequences in animation montages?

Hi,

to be honest I asked this question already in the Unreal Forum and searched the whole internet.

How can I blend in/out for smooth transitions between squences of animations in a montage? I know there are blend nodes which are driven by bool/int/enum logic. However, I’d like to use montages for my actions with multiple squences and the benefits of AnimNotify/State and sections. Any suggestions?

Or do I have to edit each animation manually so that it starts/ends with the same frame to play same consecutively in one montage? If so, how can I do that/which tool helps?

Thank you guys!

If I recall, you overlap the segments in the timeline. This enables them to blend.

Thanks for the answer. However, when trying to overlap segments by drag-and-drop, they just snap back to where they have been before.

Could you please try it and explain me how to overlap segments?

Thanks in advance!

This is covered in the cinematics course. I cannot remember where exactly but I know it is there.
