Morning,
Can anybody help me understand why my pieces move around every time I render. I move them back save it but every time I render the blue pawn moves together and the rook almost slides off the board.
firstLight.blend (965.3 KB)Morning,
Can anybody help me understand why my pieces move around every time I render. I move them back save it but every time I render the blue pawn moves together and the rook almost slides off the board.
firstLight.blend (965.3 KB)I guess, to really adress your problem and fix it, you need to upload your blend file, to find out if physics are involved, or you group them with an empty and move that, etc.
Thanks for taking an interest. I uploaded the file which is currently called firstLight.blend
Any assistance appreciated I was about to go back and append my pieces again from the start.
Best
Richard
somehow you have set them for animation. As I really don’t understand that portion of the program, I’ve got no idea how to fix the problem. I hope someone can point you in the right direction…
Thanks for getting me that far. I was seriously stuck looking at trees in the wood. Will use your observation in a good search now. Really Thanks.
As Capricas pointed out, you got animations on them. In the following i’ll tell you how to fix it:
Select the pieces, which are written in yellow:
when you select them, in object mode, press and hold alt + i, then click delete keyframes. Reposition them to your desired position:
The yellow color indicates, there are keyframes involved. The normal objects without keyframes are written in white.
Hope this fixes your issue
Perfect. It’s really hard for me to find the time this deserves some weeks and I was just about to justify to myself moving on without having been completely happy with the result. You have helped me to leave the challenge with head held high. Thanks again for taking an interest. I am rendering the improved version now. Although I don’t think I have time to upload it I am balancing on the Newark Nj wifi whilst the train is stopped in the station. Thanks
