Group render

I’ve just had an idea and was wondering what everyone else thinks of it. So here i go and try to be coherent in explaining it
I’ve been thinking that we should all make a scene. What do i mean by that? Well everyone that wants to take part of this idea should make something in Blender, it can either be an object or a character or anything else that you can make. And then we can gather them and put them in a scene and we should have a pretty interesting result as each and everyone one of us has probably a different style of modelling.
Also i think it might be easier for everyone if we can agree on like a space where it should take place, i’m referring here to some sort of environment like a desert, or underwater etc.
I for one think it could be pretty cool and anyone no matter their skill level can join and make what they feel comfortable making.
I like to think of it like a group photo
I haven’t figured out all the details of it but if anyone has any suggestions or just an opinion on this feel free to share it.
I hope i managed to be coherent enough, may everyone have a nice day :relaxed:

I’m in! It’s a great idea!
We’ll probably need to define a couple of things at the start like the General size of the space we are going for. But this’ll be super fun to collaborate on

yes we definetly need to think of a maximum and minimum size of the object

Nice idea @Mihaela_Emilia, would be a really interesting to see what comes together

would need someone to bring all the parts together to make and render the composition.
and define all the size parameters etc.

might be worth speaking with Sam, @McFuzz see if it could be incorporated into or in conjunction with one of the monthly challenges. I see that sometimes the monthly challenges are landscapes / environments , so there could be a scope to say use that scene as a base and everyone build a piece for that scene.

just thinking while having a coffee

@Lyganesh I’m sure we can find a place for them

This sounds fun, I’m in!

We could also have the person putting it all together have a stream of it where we can all see it come to life and maybe help with the arrangement of things?

@Vorundor if someone offers to stream it sure =D

@Mihaela_Emilia I can stream it or help anyone else set up for the stream.

Hey guys, I love this idea!

I think this should probably take place as its own monthly, like a “Monthly collage”! I wholeheartedly encourage this, but I feel it should have some constraints that are specified in the title post:

  • Topic: should be clear and allow for many kinds of props, so more precise than ‘space’ and less vague than ‘spaceship corridor’.
  • Scale: Similarly, if the poster says “Ocean”, the mind goes wild. Some people might make cruise ships when it was only intended to be a model of a bunch of cute crabs on the sea floor. Specify the scale in the title.
  • Style: Low poly / Photorealistic / Cartoony / Cel Shaded / Hand painted / Game style / etc

Feel free to add anything else you can think of. ALSO feel free to go ahead and upload this as Feb’s Monthly Collage. I can’t wait to see what people come up with.
