Neat, I think I see what you did here. As the item turns, under the spout there is a darker shaded column in the z-axis, even though only a single pixel thick. This gives the object the illusion of depth.
Thank you, that’s a great example and it helped to confirm what I believe is lacking in my own graphic of a spinning coin (I omitted the band, the thickness, of the coin except for the very middle frame).
