Not My Prez
After taking the Unity course on Udemy I got an idea to make a Punch Out! type of game for iPhone, but instead of boxing other boxers you boxed stereotypical Trump supporters (If you haven't been keeping up with the dumpster fire that is, unfortunately, our "leader" here in the states, just know that not all of us care for him or the people who voted him into office). You started with a Racist Grandma, who uses her walker to block your punches, and worked your way up to #45 himself.
Needless to say it got shot down by Apple, saying that it was too focused on a specific group. So make sure you read what is and isn't acceptable on the store you wish to publish!
Running From The Truth
Okay, so after getting my first game shot down I came up with another game idea, a 2D Endless runner where you literally run from the truth! And guess what? You're Trump! To survive you have to collect phones and tap three times to post a new lie on social media, which gives you a speed boost to get further away from the Truth. There are people in your way and you also have to jump over Fact blocks.
The game is programmatically generated, so no two runs are ever the same. I just launched version 1.1 that adds randomly generated saws on the Fact blocks and a new character that knocks you back. After the initial launch of version 1.0 I realized that the game was too easy, since the only way to die was when Truth caught you.

Even though my first game got shot down its been a lot of fun creating them both and I can honestly say that I probably never would've made them without Ben's class!
