[GAME][Cannon Bowling 3D] Public alpha on Play Store

could be fun indeed, perhaps it could be added as another type of ball, a special one?

PowerBall! :slight_smile:

Could cause more damage to buildings too… or knock parts of trees over which are inconveniently placed :slight_smile:

Having a sparkling fuse would be kinda neat though :slight_smile:

Hello guys, it has been a while since the last update,

I`ve just uploaded a version with the following changes(it might take a couple of minutes before it is available to download):

*Some tweaks to the overall GUI of the game;
*Added a Tutorial to the first level;
*Fixed a few bugs and problems pointed at this thread (thanks guys);
*Added a minigame to the start scene;
*Added 5 new Levels;
*Added more musics;
*Fixed some problems with the lightmaps and with the particle system that was too heavy on performance;
*Added the monetizing system with ads, the player now have a total amount of balls to shoot that replenishes over time, but he can also watch an ad to fully replenish it too.

It is one of the final builds before I publish it since I want to proceed with the course and make other games too, I might add the option to buy skins to the ball with real money and tweak some few things before publishing.

Your feedback is very welcomed!

Best Regards,

Is it just me, or is this update incredibly huge? Unless I’m misunderstanding something, I think the overall size of the game has multiplied by a couple factors over. This won’t fit on my primitive phone anymore – to be honest, it was kind of surprising that a 3D physics game ever ran on it in the first place. My testing of this update will have to wait until I’ve listened to and cleared some of my downloaded programming podcasts first.

I am pleased to hear that you worked on the UI though. I was going to suggest that it was time to replace those square buttons with some decent button images from opengameart or something, but I wanted to wait until you said you were close to release.

Hey Anthony.
Strange, this version’s size is only 55mb, the last one was around 40mb.

Odd. It’s an issue with my phone then.

That’s not really surprising.

Nice work Johnny, well done - my phone updated last night so I will have to check out the latest update today :slight_smile:

*mumbles* still think it should be called Cannon Bowls thought *mumbles*

Looking forward to have your feedback rob!
I was going to call it Cannon Bowl, but there is already a game with that nsme :frowning:

Hey Joao
Ive tried out your last version of the game and updated to your newest one.
The gui, updated graphics are much improved. I did notice this though i decided to play around at the start screen and im able to shoot the cannon as many times i want, there were Hundreds of cannon balls on my screen(because i kept shooting the cannon on purpose) up until i forced the menu to slow/freeze. I think its cool you can shoot the cannon in the menu but maybe you should implement some type of pooling system, or have the balls disappear after x amount of seconds. Anyway im going to continue to try out the levels just wanted to let you know about the menu

Thanks for your feedback @Jonathan_wade,
I’m glad to know that the gui seems better now! I will fix the unlimited shooting at the start menu, thanks for pointing out! I will make a limit to the number of shots (perhaps 100 or 150). I think that making the balls disapear after a amout of time can feel a bit strange and hard to find a balance, but I’m not sure which would be better, what do you think?

Looking forward to have your feedback regarding the game itself :smiley:
Thanks again!

@Joao_Dalvi I think your idea of limiting the amount of shots in the main menu screen sounds like a better idea like you stated.
