Looks great! The graphics and feel were spot on. You gave me some ideas for enhancements to my game. I definitely have to work on my graphics.
I did notice an issue with the player lives. If I “play again”, the starting lives aren’t reset so the user only gets one life.

Good job on the presentation, it really give Arkanoid vibes 
Nice sound effects and background music as well.
Unfortunately, I lost all lives through endless bounce loops, which killed the fun

Arkanoid was kind of my “guideline” for the look. I like the simplistic and retro look of the graphics. I think it fits these kind of games quite well. I noticed the boring loop as well… It happens at the right sight of the screen fairly frequently… I will look into that.
