First 2 Projects (YoutTube Tutorials)

here are the first projects I made before starting this course. I followed a YouTube tutorial for both from Blender Guru. Let me know what you guys think!

I think you need to turn the lightsources down in Sketchfab xD

Let me clarify. Your sketchfab models are totally saturated past comfortable viewing levels. The Guru probably set those lights up for an effective render, but effective renders rarely translate to the Sketchfab format. You may need to take a few minutes to fix it up after uploading.

Also, the glass opens on the rear of your backdrop. You need to change the default view so that it shows the glass, so the user doesn’t need to rotate it. Speaking of, backdrops don’t really translate well to the sketchfab format. I would recommend making a nice big block for it to sit on, and definitely make it a 3d object rather than a plane.

So I played with the lighting in Sketchfab and it did not change the way the model looked. When I went over to play with the materials, I noticed everything was set to white. In Blender both projects have color. I uploaded some screenshots of them. I guess the materials I used didn’t load on Sketchfab. How would I be able to fix this without manually changing everything on Sketchfab?

You’d probably benefit from deleting the lights and turning on ambient occlusion. As far as I know, you can do that in Sketchfab. The reason your Sketchfab has no colour is because of the lighting.

If you can’t fix it with the Sketchfab options, I would recommend creating a backup blender file and deleting your light sources (and enabling Ambient Occlusion) in there.

EDIT: Actualy now that I’m looking at it, the colour may not be lighting based (though the lighting will help). Did you make sure to pack all external files into the .blend before uploading it to sketchfab? (File>External Date> Pack all into .blend)
