So here it is. I cheated a bit with the grass. To have very good render time and to be able to render on GPU i used Blendergurus Grass Essential Pack. (i’ve done the tutorial version also)
For the background treeline i used backdrops with alpha.
I built up the flower from the petals i modelled from reference image.
From an other tutorial i learned to make 2 sided textures for the leafs.
I’ve run into a problem i couldn’t solve. I wanted the sapling tool to use my 3d leaf model, but it didn’t work.
I hope you like it!
You did a very nice job on your scene and looks very realistic. The Lectures are for learning about Blender but, you had a render issue, the lecture didn’t solve it, so you found a creative solution(s) to accomplish the Lecture goal . I don’t think you cheated at all you just found a viable solution to complete the Lecture.
Sapling has its’ limitation but, it would be nice if it allowed you to add your own leaves/items plus marking all the seams would be great as well. Sometimes, I think with Sapling it is better to manually add bits since the add-on is really high in geometry. One of these I am going to sit down and try to make some tries by hand and see how it compares.
Thats really good! and its better than mine!

Thank you for your kind comment. Actually the bush is already a result of a test. You can get the sapling tools leaf distribution points and put particle generator on them with “emit from verts” and with your selected object.
Check this: modeling - Objects other than leaves with Sapling addon? - Blender Stack Exchange
However still not looking too realistic for me, needs more trying.
Thank you! Yours is also very nice!
Thanks.
I think mine will look better if I add a texture to my tree like you did.
