End of first week of Blender - Mario

I’ve learned so much through the courses this past week (I’m in Section 3) that I wanted to challenge myself and try to box model a character without any tutorial and just a reference image. Through modeling this character, I ran into issues time after time but I learned how to work around things. I would love to hear your advice and opinion on how to be better with my next project. Thank you!

A fine cartoon character.

Box modeling is a good way to make a character but you need to understand the topography. It is very important in other ways when retopologising sculpted characters. It is not really covered much in the 2.8 version of the course. Though the old 2.7 head modeling section did. Which you can acess.

However I would do more of the course first, section 3 is not far through.
