I agree, was confused since my whole family said they preferred the open mouth. thanks for the help !
Hmm, I think there’s a couple of (potential) issues here. The open mouth seems like it’s on a strange angle (which could be down to the camera angle), and is relatively high detail when there’s no eyes or nostrils - I think a lot of the ‘off-ness’ may be down to that style mismatch.
The other issue, which again is a bit clearer in the open mouth model (closed mouth model is a bit more side-on, open mouth is a bit more front-on), is that your ears are very curved and very convex (bulging outward rather than sinking inward) - this makes them look very horn-like (especially if you also can’t see the mane).
