Ok finally got things working with latest compiler. I already had a 2012 version of Visual Studio Express installed so tried to use that first. It worked in Visual studio Code but would not work in unreal engine so I back tracked and installed the latest 2019 compile tools and now all is good!

Hi there! My developer command prompt version is:

Microsoft (R) C/C++ Optimizing Compiler Version 19.20.27508.1 for x86.

Prior to enrolling in this course I’ve done some basic coding with this version and with 4.22 of Unreal and asides from some intellisense issues (incorrect error lines but compiling fine) it’s been no issues.

Very excited for the course!
