I know I sound like a geeky pedant but here we go again.
I found making the eyes really confusing first time round. Not because it turns out to be difficult but because the terminology used was misleading. The lens of an eye is the tissue that sits behind the iris and deforms to provide optical focus. So when the task came up asking to make the ‘lens’ I was really confused. And then after I watched the whole thing through I was still confused because I couldn’t understand why the lens was being placed in front of the iris. It was only when I came back to look at it again today that the coin dropped and I realised that Michael was actually talking about the CORNEA, which is the transparent tissue and outer layer in front of the iris. Im not a medic and I have never studied biology or anatomy. But I do know what the lens of an eye is so when Michael talks about a lens I assume he means the lens. In retrospect its seems obvious that I should have cottoned on earlier so maybe Im not the brightest spark there is, which I freely admit to.
