I took the Messy Layout challenge a half dozen times to make sure I was comfortable with what I was doing and was able to move about the interface with ease.
- Changed “Properties” to “3D View”
- Grabbed upper right splitter widget and moved it left about a quarter of the screen
- Grabbed far upper right splitter widget and moved it halfway down the screen
- Changed upper right window from “3D View” to “Outliner”
- Right-clicked in Outliner header and selected “Flip To Top”
- Changed bottom right window from “3D View” to “Properties”
- Grabbed upper right splitter widget in 3D View window and moved it down a little
- Changed topmost “3D View” to “Info”
- Grabbed bottom left splitter widget in 3D View and moved it up a little
- Changed bottom most “3D View” to “Timeline”
- Placed cursor in 3D View and pressed “T” to open tool shelf
- Changed screen layout from “My Layout” to “Default”
- Tweaked window sizes
