I tried to make a type of a cockpit, but it looks more like a combat helmet.

Why shouldn’t it look like a helmet! Time it is on a body and legs it will be fine.

True, but when you add more details it shifts into a walking mech warrior.
It is all about the context of your build. So think which accessoires will make the helmet a more cockpit feel.
