Hello! I’m primarily trying to find the right place to ask this question, because I’m not particularly interested in general discussion of Unity versus Unreal. All of that is available on the internet and I have done that research myself. I get that it is a contentious subject, so mods please don’t write this post off as yet another Unity vs Unreal thread.
I’m specifically interested in getting more information about a comment that Ben made in this Q&A (Which Course Should I Start With? | GameDev.tv) around the 0:56 mark that Unreal was a more serious and more powerful engine than Unity.
Everything I’ve seen online presents Unity and Unreal as relative equals and entirely up to preference on which one you want to use. Ben usually has very structured, objective reasoning behind his statements and I was interested in learning more about what factors he feels makes Unreal a more powerful engine. (Or why he felt it was a more powerful engine at the time of the video).
Thanks!
