If you right click where youâre assets are, go to create, and then click on Material you can make simple colored materials for your project to play around with. You then just drag those materials over the object in the scene to color it.
Thank you!
No problem
Just donât forget to make a new prefab with the colored variants, otherwise youâll have to recolor every time you make a new instance of your prefabs.
Oh, and the colors update in realtime if you edit the materials, so you can attach a material to an object, change the material properties, and the the objects using that material will update with the changes you made immediately.
and now a version in color!
Also, under the material properties, in the middle area there should be a check mark called âEmissionâ this allows the material to produce light and make the object associated with it glow a little. If you check out my city scene youâll see what I mean. I used it in conjunction with spotlights for brake lights, head lights, lamp posts, and the stop lights for a more realistic affect.
And (I might be getting really ahead here) if you go to Window>Lighting>Settings you can change the skybox (the sky itself). You can find a bunch of free ones on the asset store if you search âskyboxâ and just change the price range to 0. It can really give a scene a nicer look depending on what feel youâre going for.
But this is really a nice scene, I see you even made another car for it
Thank you! Yeah I edited some of the Prefabs and made others. Thanks for the support!
