A very interesting concept for sure. Not sure I’ve ever seen anything like that before.

As has been said great concept. Ideal really for showing off fancy chess sets that are not really designed to play with. The nonstandard sets.
That said it creates a stretched board presumably from the reference, to accommodate the taller pieces. Might be worth experimenting with a correct aspect board, big enough to accommodate the king’s height.
