Sorry, I don’t know how to play chess, I only know, to surrender, you have to put down your king. So, I put my king down! 
You have a nice composition! All come together, like colours.
Personally, I would reduce the shine of some objects.

Very nice set and table. Personally I would not have the orange for the white squares though. I would also either colour the sides of the squares that we can see, to match the tops or have the board edge cover them up.
White queen takes knight? If all else fails add yourself some extra Queens. 
Great way to “solve the situation” by saying “this game is disqualified bc the board isn’t right!” that solves it, alright!
