Version 3: (Apr 15, 2017)
Here are the highlights of the changes from the last verison:
- I went to town on the trees. I supplemented my information with a video: https://youtu.be/mGFGuL8bfdI
- I added Real Camera as a Blender plugin, this allows for, among other things, depth of field. Check it out here: http://3dwolf.weebly.com/camera.html
- The pine tree texture is from Textures.com: https://www.textures.com/browse/pine/563
- I ran that through crazy bump to get the normal map: http://www.crazybump.com/
- I used my original tree as filler for the background. It’s just a cone, so the poly count is low. The pine trees are close to 500k vertexes each.
Version 2: (Apr 2, 2017)
So I stretched my bushes and made fake trees, only to see that the next lecture is going to cover trees. I don’t like the larger leafed bushes. I used the leaf setting in Sapling and attempted to use those vertices to anchor the leaves on the bush, but they are all at the wrong angles. I need to work on that.
