Hi there, just a tip!
I ran into a bit of trouble doing the challenge in section 2-12, mainly because when I was creating a new project in Visual Studio, I did not check the list on the left. My default selection was on Visual C++ and NOT on the correct one - Win32. Please save yourself the headache and make sure you’ve got the right selection!! Good luck to you! 
Visual C++ just contains all of the project templates for C++ including those two listed. You probably just selected the wrong one.
