Bishop Done, too many polys after boolean?

With more nodes on one side than another, I had to create some quads and a lot of triangles.

Hello Dave,

What kind of shape did you use exactly? It looks like it was rather too smooth and not uniform for use with the lower poly bishop.

I would personally either selectively use Dissolve Edges (Shortcut X) on some of them, or deleting some faces and using the Fill function (Shortcut F) with the desired edge loops selected. Or maybe go back and change the object used for the boolean.

Take care~

I can see you went deeper with the boolean modifier and this is the most probably cause of all those issues.
If i remember rightly in Michaels example he stayed above the halfway point of the top of the bishop due to this reason.

I used a wedge (cube sliced diagonally) with a bevelled edge. I figured that might have too many edges, and cutting so deep might’ve contributed too.
What’s really confusing is why one side has so many more verts than the other.
Anyway, I’ll probably fix this up either by trying a different cutting shape, or just modeling manually)
