Hey guys, Im having so many issues with my bezier curve, following along exactly as matt is doing but my curves wont do much when i literally copy what he is doing, any help would be greatly appreciated

Just to make sure I understand what is the problem: you added the bezier curve, with it selected went into edit mode, right-clicked a curve point to select it and then G, R or S did not result in movement, rotation or scaling?
okay so i was adding the bezier circle and bezier curve for the lamp shade portion, when trying to copy exactly what michael was doing, my bezier curve ended up in a loop to look like his, regardless of how i moved them around
