Be the first to post for 'Presence Through Use Of Perspective'!

I’m with kebiro on this, it sure doesn’t look like “you” are pointing with your left hand but more like another person to your left is pointing with its right hand! What’s physically wrong to me is, it seems to have one finger too many? If the thumb is hidden behind the hand, that 5 fingers? But the hand overall looks great, I still struggle with drawing it myself. And I love your trees they’re neat, and great perspective illusion too!

I went to see different references on the web, and from that I drew cages for two different postures, one with the hand towards us, and one from an ‘ant point of view’. From these cages, I started with a rough outline and refined it, with my multiple reference images not far for proportioning. I really enjoyed this exercise.

Cage “Hand toward”

Render “Hand toward”

Cage “Ant view”

Render “Ant view”

 This is so funny. It’s like I am visual dyslectic …
Many time I’ve seen this picture and the hand draws my attention. But didn’t know why.
But you solved the riddle … left-, right hand switch and too many fingers.
I find myself so stupid. :cold_sweat:

Thanks for pointing it out.
