Getting the ball rolling so to speak, block model car, just using tools in lecture and rotating by eye.
couple of extra cubes rotated for front and back windows, and a scaled cube for the bumper.
Nice work OboShape. I tried adding the slanted wind screen too by rotating a cube but didn’t like the end result so removed it. Settled for a basic box model that resembles Homer Simpsons car. Added a couple of cylinders to the front for lights.
Hey there guys! My name is Matt. I have taken pretty much every course so far (to various levels of “taken”… a lot are still just on the list for now) but I own them all and intend to get through them all at some point! I am a .Net Developer and am trying to get back into game development with these courses. I very much look forward to interacting and learning with you all on here, the lectures in the course and the discord!
Certainly nothing like some of the other fine specimens in the thread, but here is what I came up with for this quick exercise. Nice work so far, everyone!
Hey I’m Ivan and I’m delighted to have started the course! I’m currently in my final semester of a digital design degree, but I really want to go into game development. I describe myself as a “jack of all trades”, with my main area of expertise being video production. I also have experience with graphic design, audio production, and front end web development. I hope to transfer these skills to game development!
Hello everyone I’m Anthony. Have joined in the majority of the courses here trying to work through them in my spare time. Exited about the updated unity course and what it has to offer. Here is my car may have overworked it a bit.
Evening all, Im Dale. Like many I have most of the Udemy courses but have really not found the time to get through them. I originally backed the first Unity Dev course for my son who expressed interest in making games. Unfortunately he hasn’t taken up the course like I’d hoped and so I decided it high time I stopped playing as much and try to create one myself.
Here’s my basic car so far.
Its always interesting to see what other people come up with. We all have different artistic flair. All looking good so far
Okay, here is my “vehicle” not sure if it is a car, truck or some sort of hybrid! Sadly, I kept trying to use Blender shortcut keys to try to shape the cubes and didn’t work. LOL
I do have to say so far this course is starting out much better and more interesting than the original version of the course.
For Mac Users–here is a link to various Mac scene capture commands shortcuts for Mac.
Vroom…! Vroooom…! putputputput…VROOM!
Side Note: Snagit costs $49.95 US, after the “free trial” period. Windows 10 comes with Snipping Tool installed, and works perfectly for free.

Dang I thought I was creative on this a bit, until I saw everyone elses work. I know you said not to use materials and such. I got bored. Sorry. Heres my car.
That is awesome work!
This was the best car I was able to come up with.
Awesome cars everyone!
I started the original course, but got waaay off track trying to work on some original projects about half way through the course.
I’m planning to work through the entirety of this new course and I’m super excited to get started! And here’s my car!
Was doing the original course but had to set it to the side for awhile. Decided that the upgraded course was a great way to get back into things with a fresh start. Anyway here’s my block car:
Attempted a muscle car… well…
