AutoMirror Bug

Hi @all,

I started now with the Section 2 of the Blender Character Creator course. In Video 11 you are talking about AutoMirror… When I click on “AutoMirror” I get the following error message:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File “C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\BlenderFoundation.Blender2.83LTS_2.83.10.0_x64__ppwjx1n5r4v9t\Blender\2.83\scripts\addons\mesh_auto_mirror.py”, line 178, in execute
threshold = automirror.threshold
File “C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\BlenderFoundation.Blender2.83LTS_2.83.10.0_x64__ppwjx1n5r4v9t\Blender\2.83\scripts\modules\bpy\ops.py”, line 201, in call
ret = op_call(self.idname_py(), None, kw)
RuntimeError: Error: Zero normal given

location: :-1

can anybody help me out? Thanks :slight_smile:
Kind regards,
Björn

Try upgrade blender.
the 2.83 will not be overwritten, so if needed you can still use that version.

Lots of people have problems with AMD GFX card drivers.?

Thanks for the help!
Just figured out - I was in Edit Mode. I cant apply the mirror there… Anyway weird error message. In Object Mode it worked just fine.

It helps people also to see a screenshot. Maybe next time.
